Design-Kit Development Based upon ISiT’s CMOS 1μm Process Technology
This paper summarizes the necessary steps we went through to develop a design-kit for full-custom design based upon ISiT’s CMOS 1μm technology process. All basic information dealing with technology setup, rule decks and analog simulation environment is provided and commented. The design-kit is fully compliant with Cadence Generic Process Design-Kit (GPDK) methodology guide, revision 1.8, Septem...
متن کاملA Temperature Sensor for the Integration of Quartz Crystal on a CMOS PLL Chip
This paper reports design and fabrication of CMOS temperature sensor circuit using MOSIS 0.25um CMOS technology. The proposed circuit has a temperature coefficient of 13mV/ for °C a wide operating temperature range with a good linearity. This circuit may be applicable to the design of one-chip IC where quartz crystal resonator is mounted on CMOS oscillator chips .
متن کاملLow-Power Design Environment for MOSIS
The release of a CMOS low power library by the Infopad group at UC Berkeley gave engineers the ability to develop low power circuits with standard cells in Magic with minimum geometry layouts [1]. We describe a process that translates this low power standard cell library from Magic into the Mentor Graphics (MGC) environment. Using the Design Kit Example (DKE), we describe the steps to build a c...
متن کاملTeaching Integrated Circuit and Semiconductor Device Design in New Zealand: The University of Canterbury Approach
Teaching the practical aspects of device and chip design in New Zealand presents many problems, including high manufacturing costs, long lead times, and the lack of local industry strength. Nonetheless, it is possible to overcome these issues. This paper describes the courses in these areas at the University of Canterbury, including a practical IC design project that has been running successful...
متن کاملMOSIS: IC Prototyping and Low Volume Production Service
MOSIS is a low-cost prototyping and small volume production service for VLSI circuit development with a worldwide customer base. Since 1981, the service has fabricated more than 42,000 integrated circuit designs for use by commercial firms, government agencies and universities, a number unmatched by any other service and has served as the model for prototyping services throughout the world. The...
